Yes, at all times while in transit. Eagle Auto Transport carries liability insurance.  Insurance of one million and a cargo policy with limit of quarter million.

Door-to-Door

Door-to-door transport.  The truck will come as close to your house as safely and legally possible to pick up the vehicle. This is in contrast to terminal-to-terminal shipping.  Here you are required to drop your car off at a terminal and wait for a truck to come pick it up there.

Safety and Reliability

Door-to-door is much safer and reliable.  The car doesn’t leave your sight until it’s on the truck. Also, you are present to note any damages that the car may have prior to pickup.  As well as sign the bill of lading.

Either you, or a designated person, have to be present upon pick-up.  Also on delivery of your vehicle to sign a contract (bill of lading). The driver performs an inspection with you to review if there is any damage on the car before loading it on the truck. The same is done upon delivery.

Preparing Your Vehicle

Secure or remove any loose parts or specialty items such as ground effects, spoilers, fog lights, wide mirrors, and lower or remove the antenna if possible. Make sure the radiator has adequate levels of fresh antifreeze. Be sure that the battery is secure and has no leaks. Leave only about 1/4th tank of gas in the vehicle, as a full tank of gasoline adds a lot of costly weight to the transport.

Anti-Theft Devices

Deactivate or disconnect anti-theft devices. There can be serious problems and unnecessary expenses if the driver is locked out or if the alarm goes off during the auto shipping process. And finally, make sure that your vehicle is clean enough to ensure an accurate pickup inspection.

Call our dispatcher at the number we provide to you once your order is processed. We will track your order and give you an update as soon as possible.

YES! The main thing to remember about shipping an inoperable vehicle is that it must be winched onto the truck, which is $150 more.

Terminal services can be arranged, however, terminals do charge additional fees. Therefore, we prefer door-to-door service whenever possible to avoid unnecessary charges.

The auto shipping driver will drive your car on and off the car transport only. Your car should not be driven otherwise, and odometer readings should be noted at pickup and delivery.

The average transit time from pick up to delivery on any vehicle going coast to coastwill be between one and two weeksMidwest to west coast – 5 to 10 days and for distances around 1000 miles or less – 3 to 7 days.
