I purchased a classic vehicle in Florida from a private party. I live in California. I needed the vehicle picked up in a timely manner. I searched various vendors, most who claimed to have 5 star ratings. In digging deeper, almost all had a long litany of complaints. I really was skeptical of the entire industry as there appeared to be so many unreliable companies. A friend recommended Eagle Auto transport. I called and spoke to Paul and voiced my concerns. I purchased this vehicle a week before Christmas and was trying to have the car picked up prior to New Years. I requested enclosed transportation.
Paul provided a very competitive bid as I had bids for enclosed transportation for hundreds of dollars more than Paul’s bid. I didn’t choose him because he was the cheapest but his rate was very competitive.
I have to say that I am extremely pleased with this transaction. My car was picked up by DPS Express, a sub-contractor. I was really concerned about using a sub-contractor but Paul assured me that they were dependable and professional.
The driver called the elderly gentleman that I purchased the car from. He gave him and hour window for pick up the next day. DPS showed up on time, loaded the car, filled out the appropriate paperwork and then took the long journey across country.
The car arrived on January 8th. DPS called me in the morning and gave me a 2 hour window of delivery time. It was pouring rain so the actual time couldn’t be calculated but the truck arrived on time.
I was very impressed with the truck! It was 60 ft long, all new, all modern, all enclosed. The driver provided me with the paperwork. I gave him a cashier’s check for the balance and he drove the car into my driveway and garage! It was spotless and just as it was when purchased.
I cannot express in words my complete satisfaction with this transaction. In reading hundreds of reviews, mostly negative, I would offer this advice. Be flexible on pick up and delivery dates. It seems most of the disappointment and problems were that actual dates and times were not honored. Not sure why my transaction went so smoothly. I believe it is because I used Eagle Transport and they did everything that they said they would do, when they said it would occur.
I have just hired them to bring me in another vehicle I just purchased in Boise. I hope that this second transaction goes as smoothly as the first.
